Rain on a Sunday
Today is Sunday. I don't quite feel it, as yesterday I slept for almost the entire day. After 3 days at Business-Edu, I needed a long, refreshing sleep. Andi sent the dog to some friends - she found someone that will take the dog when she will leave. I felt sad somehow, but I know that, one - I can barely take care of myself so a dog is kinda out the question, and two - I will not be staying here much longer. The only constant in my life is change, and it's time to get used to that. Even if I don't wanted, things around me move me in the direction of change. For once in my life I wish I could stay still - so still that I could actually hear life growing around me. That will never happen. There are things you just know - you feel a knowledge that goes beyond the boundaries of reason growing inside you. We are born knowing - we just sometimes forget.
So Business-Edu is over. It's been the second big fair I've attend with my company - and it was as lame as the first one. I mean the logistics were great, we had free wireless internet connection, the other participants were fun to meet and I've had my share of fun. However, despite to better publicity, few people came. My friends came, also some of my former clients. So it was not all bad, just my expectations were a lot higher. However, that's what happens when you set your standards too high - sometimes the reality can't make the jump to meet them.
Today I returned to Ploiesti after 2 weeks of Bucharest. I left the big city with a storm, but I did managed to take a few shots of the flowers in the garden in Ploiesti. I felt tempted on my way here to stop at a monastery I'm planning to see soon, called Pissiota - after the name of its founder. However, with a rain on my tail, I did not seemed such a good option for the time being. Maybe I could stop by on my way back to Bucharest.
The garden in Ploiesti is filled with flowers - all kinds of flowers.
A big part of the yard's fence is covered in a violet flower, called "glicina" - I have no idea what's the English word for it. My aunt told me it's the name of the street in "Desperate Housewives" ;-)
