Duck and garlic
I have been spending a lot of time with my girl until by boyfriend came to live with me. We had long talks, now I'm having long walks. I walk like a duck - basically because my bones are moving around to make room for the baby. Fortunately, they will come back in their initial position later next year (hopefully!).
I do have daily moments of forgetfulness - and sometime I'm not even sure what day it is. Well, time is relative anyway.
I am reading a very cool book on pregnancy, my friend Dalia lend it to me: The Girlfriend’s guide to pregnancy. I just wish I've read it before I got pregnant!
On December 14 I sat the last EPSO competition this year - and the first one in a specialised field (HR). The room was huge - more like a hangar. I've seen there almost all the people of my age who are still not working in a EU institution.
So now I'm not longer living alone in my small but cosy room in ICA Brussels. It's been 4 days since we are 2 here (3 if we count the little one inside me). He's adapting to the new place and the new country. I feel like I'm not doing anything right. We are together for some time, expecting a child together and still don't feel comfortable enough about moving in together! Probably because being "inhabited" already makes me go through lots of changes, and adding one more is just extra pressure. I am glad to have my man around, we take long (for me!) walks, discover the city and make plans. We have a lot to talk, a lot to do, time goes by really fast. I know things will work out in the end, it's just I'm not a very patient woman ;-)
Oh, what's with the garlic in the title of the post? Well, he got me some garlic from Romania (I'm not sure it is Romanian garlic, but goes well with the vampires stories). I miss having garlic with almost everything, like I did back there... Probably when we are going to have our own place, I will go back to some of my healthy habits ;-) Anyway, we have agreed to eat garlic together, and as we are both "garlic fans", I think that is going to be one of the easiest thing to do as a couple. I'm looking forward to more "couple chores" like this one!
