Last day of 2006 - The things I've done in a year's time

As another year ends, it is time to do the math - was my life worth living? Have I done something new, something good in the last year or was I just another misdirected consumer of oxygen?

Here it goes - what I did for the first time in 2006:

  • played pool
  • visited new cities in Romania: Cheia resort, “Baile Olanesti” resort, Iasi, Ramnicu Valcea, Timisoara (loved Unirii square, they have free wireless Internet access)
  • came down with the worst cold ever
  • hired a maid
  • fixed a flat tire (I mean I went with the car to the place where it is usually fixed!)
  • visited new cities outside Romania: Thessaloniki, Noussa (Greece), Szeged (Hungary)
  • visited more monasteries than in all my previous years together: Agapia, Varatec, Shila, Secu and Sihastria (Neamt County), Suzana, Cheia (Prahova County), “Manastirea dintr-un lenm”, Pahomie and Patrunsa Hermitages (Valcea County), Mitropolie (Bucharest)
  • drove over 400 km in one day
  • sat the “EU concours”
  • had one of my cats operated because of sand in the kidney
  • commuted between Bucharest and Ploiesti
  • started a company
  • got divorced
