Hot chocolate tea & politics
Wednesday is a rainy day in Brussels. However, view from my room is still great. I didn't sleep as well as the previous night but now I had a hot shower and things are pretty much ok.
Yesterday I've been to a debate with 4 Romanian candidates to the European Parliament. Learned a lot, and I just had this feeling it should have lasted longer. Nevertheless, the room was full and the people from Romania - UE Club did a great job.
One thing I noticed was the difference between the old & grey politicians and the young wolfs. The old ones have the talent of saying nothing, but throwing in a joke, smiling all the time - controlling the atmosphere in a way. The young ones are stiffed, do not smile and feel a bit embarrassed when they make a joke, not being sure if they do it at the right moment or it is right for that audience. They do try throwing in some more content. However, my pride felt good when the best speaker was a woman - despite the fact I know nothing about the party she's coming from except I don't like their name - is too... conservative - of course, is the Conservative Party.
I got a pen and an idea from this debate. I needed them both badly. I came home around nine in the evening, 16 degrees and a bit of wind... the world was full of infinite possibilities. I have a bag of unsolved heart matters that I brought with me from Romania, but I know things will work out in the end.
I had some interesting food for dinner at ICA - for some of the stuff I have no idea what it was. But the really mind-blowing thing was the hot chocolate tea I found in the kitchen - a Turkish product. Things are not always what they seem ;-)
