Belle et Zen

Last week, about this time, I was in hospital, about to give birth. Now I'm at home, Marie sleeps (finally!) and I am sleepless and hungry. Dad is cooking lunch... or could be dinner... anyway, a meal, because the normal time frames lost their meaning. Everyday I hope I could get an extra hour of sleep, and the day passes so quick... Are there still 24 hours in a day?!

Marie is growing, so she wants to spend more time awake, more time with her parents and more time crying. The crying part is the worst, because it keeps you awake.

Marie's milestones in the first week:
- first bath - with dad, in the bathtub - Marie loves to stay in the warm watter!
- loosing the umbilical cord
- keeping Mom & Dad awake for... more than they could think it is humanly possible
- getting presents: pink outfits :-D

My milestone:
Today I went out of the house for the first time since Marie's birth. It was a very slow 15 minutes walk. The city was dark, unfamiliar, strange and in the neon light it seems like it was snowing. Accross the street, I could see the Yves Rocher shop and the window arranged for their spring campaign: Belle et Zen. I need a lot of Zen in my life right now! ;-)

In my walk, I stopped in front of the Etterbeek swimming pool - my Valentine's gift. I wanted to go in the day when I gave birth - let's just say I took a more expensive bath that day ;-)
