I'm singing in the rain

March is probably the worst month in Brussels - it rains, it is cold and windy. The temperatures are around 9-10 degrees, but the "real feel" is about 0-1 degrees - that is Celsius. So after a few good days in the beginning of the month, now is rain, rain and more rain. I'm fed up with the Belgian weather, with Belgian red tape...

The good news is that Marie is about 3,400 kilos, so is growing up pretty well. Considering the way she "attacks" when is meal time, I would say is no wonder ;-) However, as we don't have a baby scale at home (and no intention of buying one, I'm not that obsessed!) we had to go to a ONE office to find out how much she's been growing lately. It turned out to be an interesting visit, we've got a book on baby's sleeping patterns, with explanations of the differences between a baby's sleep and an adult's. Breast-feeding is recommended here to be done exclusively until the baby is 6 months old - as the social worker has told us, it has been changed in the last years, from 4 to 5 months to 6, as the research proved is better for both mother and baby this way. I was planning on doing that anyway, regardless of the official policy ;-) Some things you just know - you can call it mother's instinct.
