Into the forest

We moved out of Brussels. We are probably living in the smallest village in Belgium - if you walk about 500 meters from our place in any direction, you are out of it. However, the forest is also about 500 meters away, so, if the weather is dry, you can enjoy the silence, the birds and seeing just trees around you. The air is cleaner, fresher and it even seems to us the weather is better here than in Brussels.

The house has more light - Marie is sometimes disturbed of so much light. She will get used to it eventually, we exposed her to sunlight as much as we could in the city - which means a few minutes every couple days. We plan to take long walks and enjoy the nature as much as we can. We live in the Flemish Brabant, which means all the inscriptions are in Dutch - even the bills from shops. Fortunately, people do talk English here - in the shops, in the streets, and from what I know the bus drivers have to speak French also, so even though going shopping is a challenge, I'm sure we can find a way around the language barrier.

Marie is growing, she is still crying - well, of course she does, would not be normal not to ;-) But we got used to her crying. And sometimes we don't even hear it, which, as insensitive it may seem, is a great thing! That means we can actually start having a life - well, maybe a half-life in the beginning, but nevertheless something more than we had so far.

Nothing is going to be as before, I know that. I feel it. But somehow, things will work out. Nature has its ways.
