Bank Holiday
Today is a Bank Holiday in Belgium. Which means banks are closed. And all the shops and people get a day off. Of course, the Belgian shops are closed, because all the Turkish, Arab and Armenian shops from my neighbourhood are open - work comes first for some people - and everyone has to make a living after all.
I have changed my browser's start page, from http://www.euroconcurs.ro/ to http://www.eurobrussels.ro/ . I had to make it clear to myself in a way that I should start having other priorities - and it seems to be working. Today I've finally send applications to Heads of Units in the Commission. One guy that I've worked with before is on... parental leave. So, people have kids all the time apparently ;-)
Also, it became a fact that I can't deal with numbers without mixing them up - if are not the hours, it is the day. In a phone number, I get the digits, but the order may vary. So... I wonder how I graduated a Math specialisation in High school!
The interviews for my book are coming along nicely. However, the end result might be something else than I have anticipated. I love doing the interviews, the stories are so exciting and so diverse... and the conclusions that are slowly rising are different from... well... my misconceptions :-D
Also, it become clear that I will finish the book early next year and not at the end of this one. I am also considering online publishing, even though I'm not quite sure how I can do that - so if you have any idea or know someone that is already doing that - let me know!
