Bucharest. Rain. End of the year.
It's been raining a lot in Bucharest in the last 3-4 days. I don't really like it, the sky is dark and the wind is strong. Traffic jams all around.
The medium salary in Romania went up with 27% compared with last year - from 245 EUR to 311 EUR. However if you work in a bank, you might get as much as 1000 euro, also in aviation salaries are a bit over 800 euros.
I have just finished the last Euroconcurs seminars for this year. Three in a week, it was quite a stretch. Had some hard times with the weather, snowing at some point in the mountains, where one of the seminars took place. In the end, everything worked out ok. However, I do feel I could sleep forever now. The last seminar does not mean the end of the work - I have articles to write for various publications, interviews to give, website updates, the Euroconcurs newsletter and the campaign for the Romanian elections for EP. Also, I have to finish up the budget for the events that just ended and pay up the final bills. And I must not forget to pack up my things for Brussels - and speaking of Brussels, a new company will be flying from Bucharest to Brussels, Myair. However, I don't really trust Italian airlines, my feeling is Alitalia is the worst European airline. Anyway, the consequence is that starting December there will be 3 airlines flying on this route, which for a long time has been the monopoly of the Romanian national carrier.
